Design and Check PCR Primers

The tool below can be used to design primers specific for your region of interest or to check your primers’ T_m to guide you in choosing the best cycling program. To start, please select your desired function from the Task dropdown menu.

Task: Generic (Pick both primers)

• Enter the sequence of interest in the DNA Sequence box. You can enter the sequence as plain text or in FASTA format. Any non-standard characters will be ignored.
• Optional: You can further refine the search parameters by expanding Advanced Options.
• Click Design Primers to see your results.

Task: Check Primers

• Enter the primer sequence of interest in the Primer Sequence box. Any non-standard characters will be ignored.
• Optional: You can check a primer pair by expanding Advanced: Check a Primer Pair and entering sequences in both the Left Primer and Right Primer boxes.
• Click Check Primers to see your results.
