The Story Behind It Matters
A real moment reminded us why we do this work and why we’ll never take it lightly. Back in April 2025, one of our founders shared a short story that stayed with us. His daughter, a physician at Georgetown, was treating a patient when she handed her a pen. It was just a small piece of Quanta swag. The patient looked and said:
“How do you know Quanta?”
“My dad helped start the company,” she said.
“Please tell your dad that what he does matters.”
She was a recently retired CDC researcher who had worked on meningitis. She went on to say she loved Quanta. That our ToughMix product had been a game-changer, especially for direct PCR from crude samples. That she trusted it. That it delivered when it mattered most.
In that exchange, we were reminded that the work we do reaches farther than we sometimes realize. Our reagents continue to support researchers, clinicians, and ultimately, patients.
